Batch34: Sitio Macantog
Through record-setting heat unbearable even for the locals, we hiked under the blazing sun for an hour and a half just to reach Sitio Macantog. This small community is deep inside Tanay, Rizal over an hour commute outside Manila where the locals welcomed us with fresh coconut juice. In a world full of modern technology, Sitio Macantog is still without electricity, relying on portable solar powered lanterns that only a few houses has. While the rest survive darkness through candles and small torches. Close-knit community where everyone knows each other, relying on each other to survive.
Thanks to all our generous sponsor for yet another successful outreach. And to our first time volunteers for trusting us.
